Junior Associate
This
position is based in the Wall Street area in New York. It involves
strategy projects, portfolio management, client development and
service, as well as identifying M&A transactions for Worldwide
Asset Management.
The Asset Management Strategy and Development Group reports to the Chief Financial Officer of Asset Management.
The
Junior Associate position will involve the hours and time commitment
required by strategy projects and client acquisition deals, but the
environment is less demanding than that of the investment banking
positions.
Typical Work Includes:
- Create and maintain presentations and reports for clients and
management,
- Identify efficiencies and improvements in business operations,
- Assist in product-launch and market-entry assessment,
- Coordinate efforts with other groups and businesses,
- Assess strategic initiatives including complex analysis of data,
- Perform due diligence and other typical deal activities,
- Complete valuation and M&A financial analysis,
- Create and evaluate research reports,
- Perform and maintain competitive analysis.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of full-time work experience including 2 years
in corporate development, strategy consulting, investment management,
investment banking, equity/debt research, or similar role with a
top-firm,
- BA/BS from a top school with a record of strong academic performance,
- Strong quantitative skills and significant experience with complex
Excel models,
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance and Accounting,
- Strong communication and presentation skills,
- Comfortable working with senior management and within a team,
- Strict attention to detail.
